What is ML Connect?
A directory of businesses and services run by Mustang Lakes residents — or neighbors who serve our area. Think of it as a neighborhood referral, but without having to bother someone in the Facebook group at 7am.
Who runs this?
Dustin Bankord, a Mustang Lakes resident who got tired of asking "does anyone know a good..." and thought there had to be a better way. Spoiler: there is. You're looking at it.
Is my information safe?
Yes. We don't display contact info publicly — ever. When you reach out to a business, your message goes directly to them through our contact form. No phone numbers, no emails, no addresses on the public page. Just neighbors helping neighbors, without the weird part where everyone can see your email address.
Can anyone add a business?
Anyone is welcome to browse. To add a listing, we just ask that the business actually serves Mustang Lakes residents. We review every submission before it goes live — mostly to catch spam bots, not to gatekeep your lawnmower.
How long does approval take?
Usually within 24 hours, often faster. If it's been more than a couple days, something probably went sideways — email dustinbankord@gmail.com and I'll sort it out.
Can I list a business that isn't based in Mustang Lakes?
Yes, if they serve our neighborhood. A plumber who lives in Frisco but does great work here? Welcome. A bakery in Celina that delivers to our area? Sure. A randomly Googled business with no connection to anyone here? Hard pass.
What are Young Entrepreneurs?
Kids and teens in Mustang Lakes who are running real businesses — lawn care, babysitting, tutoring, car washing, you name it. They get their own badge and section because hiring a neighbor kid is genuinely the best. A parent or guardian handles all the contact.
Can I leave a review?
Yes — sign in with your email (no password, just a magic link) and you're good to go. We keep reviews to Mustang Lakes residents to keep things honest. And yes, we moderate them. Be a human.
